Throwback Thursday: Maybelline Zip Fly and Midnight Affair

For this Throwback Thursday I decided to give two looks.  Both were purchased from Dollar Tree by me over three years ago, and by the time they hit Dollar Tree they were considered relics then anyways, so I feel as though they are ok to be dubbed "Throwbacks." They definitely were worth the .50$ I paid for them :)

First up is Maybelline Zip Fly, and inky blue shimmer with silver glitter throughout.  I remember squealing when I got this then, thinking, "If I can't have Essie Starry Starry Night, hopefully it'll quench my thirst." Well, it's great but I don't know if anything can squash the lemmings of a true polish hoarder!  This was a bit sticky when I brought it out- the brush was basically a stick- so I revived it with Seche Restore and it was good as new.  This is two coats, no topcoat. 

Since it's a two for one post today, I also decided to post another Dollar Tree find from the same yester-year as the first.  This is Maybelline's Midnight Affair, a burgundy-red shimmer with red and gold glitter throughout.  In the bottle it's amazing.  On the nail, it's kind of gritty, and needs a coat of topcoat, which it is shown with here.  Nice color, but not a normal go to for me.  It does make me think of fall though with its red and gold tones.
